...and to pursue responsible, creative lives

Elizabeth Findell, Class of 2006

Elizabeth FindellElizabeth has her whole future planned out. Right after she’s done traveling the world as a Travel Writer, she’d like to work as an investigative writer for Time Magazine. She says after she achieves editor-status, she wants to shoot for the presidency. THE presidency.

We joke with her that this would be a first, an ex-journalist as president. What will the world think?

Elizabeth is a very active Honors student. Along with maintaining her grades, she was yearbook editor last year and she got addicted to graphics publishing. “I went into the computer lab in September and no one saw me again until graduation.”

Needless to say, we had a great 2004 yearbook.

Elizabeth also ADORES the foreign travel program and if you check out the Mongolia page, you’ll see lots of comments from her. Rumor has it that she hugged the Mongolese horses thereby astonishing the natives. It turns out, hugging and kissing horses isn’t part of their daily life. She thinks this is sad and hopes her presence there helped to change their thinking.

She loves the Whiteman Horse Program and participates in all the Horse-related trips. She is pictured here riding Koona during desert week. (Koona is now a celebrity horse because the day after Elizabeth and the rest of the group left Utah, Koona’s next “guest” was Goran Visnijk who plays Dr. Luke Kovak on ER.) WOW. Elizabeth, being an Honors student (who has time for TV), didn’t know who he was but we were all excited for Koona never the less.

You can also check out Elizabeth’s self-designed web page to learn more about this would-be President of the United States. We hope they are prepared for horses in the White House.
