Phnom Penh to Seoul

May 05, 2011

We have arrived in Seoul, South Korea and the kids are alternating between wandering throughout the airport terminal and passing out on cushioned lounge chairs. We are all exhausted and looking forward to the comforts of home. Phnom Penh is a bustling city and undergoing rapid reconstruction due to large investments from China and Japan...  [more]

It's Almost Over....

May 04, 2011

Margi--Wow, the trip has gone by so quickly. The group is so impressive, showing strong leadership no matter what responsibility is handed to them. Truly a pleasure to travel with them. We had a great day yesterday. Really our first down day. We had breakfast at our usual time, then went to a regional park that had a loop hike where you walked the link of a series of 10 waterfalls...  [more]

Its like a frozen cube of wet heat...

Apr 30, 2011

Or maybe one of those days when a nice cool Coca-Cola finds its way into your hands and the world seems to smoothly drive away into with a nice mountain breeze as headwind. From Thailand

Shelby--The group is here at Cosa doing our service project, and are all living in one big room together. It's a great thing everyone gets along so well because after 3 weeks with the same people, being with them literally 24/7 for 6 days can be rough...  [more]

Leaving Bhutan, on to Thailand

Apr 27, 2011

Margi--We arrived in Chiang Mai and at the COSA Center at about 10:30 last night. We were surprised to find out we were sleeping in a nice room all together. Two rustic bathrooms equipped with simple plumbing will allow us to shower. BUT we do have American style toilets...  [more]

Thoughts from Vietnam

Apr 27, 2011

Allie Storie--The last thing I remember that was pretty super cool was the boat. I saw some jellies in the water...that wasn't too much fun. I got sunburned because I wanted to tan. It wasn't the best idea to go tanning without any sunscreen, but hey at least I'll be tan soon...  [more]
