Advising Program
Both boarding and day students work closely with a single faculty member who serves as a student advisor. In groups of just three to five students, these cohorts meet daily to perform campus tasks together, go over school rules and policies, discuss grades and classes, and in general develop strong relationships that go beyond teacher/student. Students can have some say in choosing their advisor as they move through their LWS career, though often the best relationships are the ones that have lasted for a few years. The advisor serves as the main conduit for families, communicating with parents and families several times each year about the student’s progress, struggles, and successes.
