Experience Video:
Johnny Spillane, Class of 1999 -- Olympic Triple Silver Medalist in a 2010 Olympic Moment. "Lowell Whiteman School made it possible for me to do what I've done. If you get an opportunity to go to a school like this, take it! I recognized what I had here and it really made it possible for me to get where I am."
Daily Class Schedules
Opening Day Special Schedule (August 30 only)
Thanksgiving to Winter Break Class Schedule
Winter Class Schedule Begins Jan 11th
Spring Class Schedule – begins after Intersession
Part of the LWS philosophy is our special rotating schedule. The class order changes in order to accommodate longer block periods for science labs. The rotating schedule also prevents students from being in their most challenging class at 8:00 a.m. every day. If you don’t like math, you won’t be at your best early in the morning or perhaps you don’t do as well in a class at the end of a long academic day.
Chemistry, Anatomy, Physics and Biology labs can be completed in the longer periods without interruption allowing teachers more one-one-one time with each student. Most schools require students to come in after school to finish labs which cannot be completed in a normal class period. Our schedule alleviates that. Students say they like the schedule variety as do the teachers.
