Italy Hosts an LWS Student and the US Snowboarding Team
LWS student Will Peddie, Class of 2010, must organize his time around both homework and snowboarding practice, while spending his time in both Steamboat Springs, CO and Valmalenco, Italy this winter. A member of the U.S. Snowboarding team, Peddie returned to the States last Sunday, March 23 after a week abroad for the Junior World Snowboarding Championships. Competing against 59 other participants from around the world, he snatched 23rd in the highly aggressive bordercross event where an athlete “has to get to the bottom first [amid] rollers, jumps and bum turns.”
